Photographic or Writing SUBMISSIONS
Photography World is interested in two types of submissions: photographs and essay material that can feature photographs.
You must be at least 18 years of age to submit.
Photographs
Your Photograph is Copyright Protected
By submitting your photographs for publication in Photography World you are agreeing to and stipulating to us the following:
(1) You own the exclusive copyrights to these original photographs.
(2) You are granting Photography World a non-exclusive license to use the photograph in its submitted form for publication on the PW website for as long as the website exists. Please note that back issues of PW may remain available in the archive for as long as the website exists.
(3) You are, in addition to granting PW permission to publish it on this said website, also granting permission to use the original photograph for promotion on PW’s affiliate social media sites such as facebook.com, tumbr.com, twitter, Google Plus, and such. COPYRIGHT YOUR MATERIAL by putting a copyright mark on the image and creating metadata for your image that claims and identifies the submission as solely your own.
Privacy and Information Security Policy, INCLUDING CONSENT TO INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS & DISCLOSURE (“Privacy Policy”). Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms and is incorporated herein. Do not provide, or allow others to provide, any personal information about yourself or on behalf of another person, unless you have reviewed and agree with the PW privacy policy and are authorized to consent to have all data used and transferred internationally.
Your use and browsing of this Service is at your risk. If you are dissatisfied with any of the materials contained in the PW Service, with the quality of service, or with these Terms, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue accessing and using the Service.
Agreements in Good Faith by Photography World
(1) Photography World adheres to the notion that none of the submitted photographs may be printed, manipulated, distributed, or used in any form without prior written permission from the copyright holder. All works, including photographic and written essays published on this website, are protected under domestic and international copyright laws and are not considered to be public domain.
(2) PW will strive to protect this website’s published photographs and published articles/essays from unlawful downloading, distribution and misuse of such material, to the best of our ability.
(3) Photography World is interested in maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and integrity at all times. ANY submitted material that contains pornography or cruelty to animals will be rejected and the individual/entity attempting to submit such material will be banned from any future submissions. Additionally, said individual/entity may be reported for certain unlawful violations.

(4) PW adheres to these said ideals, defining that this pertains to submissions from all persons, from all geographic areas, for PW’s interests and protections; this also includes the protection of all PW published photographs, its photographers’ bio/interviews, as well as PW articles and essays.
(5) All submissions will be considered for publication, tho there is no guarantee of publication.
(6) In choosing photographs, articles and essays for publication, PW commits to fairness & equality when considering candidate submissions. In highest integrity we hope to provide all photographers and writers with unbiased consideration for final decisions of published works.
Regarding the removal of published photographs from the PW website: should you, for any reason, wish your photographs to be removed from the website, you are to notify us in writing thru your email submission address and we will make every effort to remove identified photo. However, please be advised that third parties such as educational institutions, search engines or individuals may download, save, store or archive this (or any other) website with or without our knowledge. Photography World will have no control over such downloading and subsequent use and therefore cannot accept responsibility for any such use. However, having stated this, PW will, to the best of its ability, protect said published photographs from unauthorized distribution.
ARTICLES & ESSAYS
Your article & essay copyright
By submitting articles & essays for consideration of publication in Photography World (hereto also known as PW) you are agreeing to and stipulating to us the following:
You are submitting original writings of which you are identifying yourself as the sole author. By submitting these writings you are acknowledging that you have in no way plagiarized from another entity, any of your submitted writings. DO NOT SUBMIT PLAGIARIZED MATERIAL.

Submission Guidelines for Photos
You will be submitting through email or upload to the PW website with identifying information.
PHOTOS We Are Interested in Publishing Museum Quality Images
- JPEG files only
- No borders (with exceptions)
- Watermarks are encouraged. Your submitted photo(s) will be considered for publication as you have submitted them. Watermarks serve to protect your image from copyright theft, though it is not a guarantee of protection of copyright infringement. Again, we are looking to publish museum quality images.
- No Pornography (See: http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2256 for guidelines PW adheres to, and defining that this pertains to submissions from all persons, from all geographic areas, for PW’s interests and protection; this also includes the protection of all PWB published photographs, its photographer bio/interviews, as well as PWB articles and stories.

Submissions Guidelines for Essays & Articles
What kind of writing is PW looking to publish? Two types…
I. Photography World is interested in articles that are informative, educational and utilize footnotes of resources that support the “research” of the article. Subject matter is endless.
2. We are interested in writing that reflects the issues/goals that challenge photographers, preferably based on the writer’s own personal experiences.
Current categories include, but are not limited to: TRAVEL, ANIMALS, NATURE, IN FOCUS , PHOTOGRAPHERS
